91783155Put as simply as possible, we are an organisation which believes that while it is one thing to have performers “suffering for their art” it is another thing altogether for an artist to be unable to perform because of injury or illness. And while we recognise that actors, singers, musicians, dancers, circus performers, vaudeville players and anyone who uses their body to share their art with others can get sick like anyone else, we understand that simple illness can mean much more to a performer than to the average person and that performers can and do suffer from problems which are unique to their profession.

We also understand that young or old, amateur or professional, unknown or famous, that performing is something unique and special and that having a health issue stand in the way of a performance, let alone a lifetime of performing, is a tragedy which is often unappreciated and misunderstood.

This page is your portal to those of us in Australia who would like to help; part of, but independent from, a growing international movement focussing on the health of performing artists.

So come on inside. Find out about who we are, where we came from and what we are doing. Contact us about your concerns, issues you think need addressing or any ideas you might have about performing artists and their health.

And if you like what you see, consider supporting us by becoming a member.

So thank you for visiting us, and enjoy the rest of the website
